Sponsors get behind 6 Inch

Trying to organise sponsorship with official race approval received just a few short weeks ago was always going to be difficult. However race organisers have been very pleased with the support received from Endura Sports Nutrition and Peak Podiatry who have gotten right behind the race. Negotiations are still underway with another big name brand sponsor, and signs are looking very positive. We hope to be able to make another announcement soon.

6 Inch is official!

After four years as a "fat ass" event, the 6 Inch Trail Marathon becomes an official race in 2009, after permission was received from the Department of the Environment and Conservation to hold the event.

This also means the race can become officially sanctioned by AURA (the Australian Ultra Runners Association), making it a more attractive event to runners from the Eastern States who will be able to earn AURA Championship points by competing.
